Gray & White Dresser/ Beach or Nautical Theme

Ugly, Ugly Green Dresser
turned Cool Chic

Here is the "After" pic:

Here is what he looked like "before"

He had potential, but boy was he not only a mess but she was lacking any personality!
The bottom had a 1x4 all the way around that just said "blah". So we knocked those out and added some new legs.
Not sure why I painted the "X"'s, just wanted to go a little different.
I think now it could be used not only as a dresser but as a buffet.

Here are all the "After" pics"

Tell me what you think of it all finished.

UPDATE:
My teenager, Cody, found an inspiration in this dresser.
He has had this awful thrown together teenager room for way too long. I have desperately wanted to re-decorate!!
After days of looking at this dresser he finally said
"Mom I have an idea for more room"
THANK GOODNESS!!
Oh, wait, that means more work! LOL.
So he wants a beach/nautical themed room.
I am really kinda excited to design something now.
We shall start with this dresser and keep ya posted on the updates.
Oh, and I WILL post a picture of his "before" room in all its messy, 16 yr. old glory!!!

More Projects: Dresser, Armoire & China Cabinet

We found more "junk"!!!
These have so much potential that I can't wait to get started.
Here are the "before" pics:

A nice 7 drawer dresser with a cabinet, solid wood.

The previous owners obviously couldn't decided on a color.

So this one is not bad at all, its in great cosmetic shape. BUT,
My daughter "pinned" a  armoire  turned make-up/changing station on Pinterest
and so Mommy has a new project for her room.

Looks like it will be a busy weekend.....

Courtney's New Magnet Board

Ugly old picture frame turned cool magnet board
Piece by piece we are getting Courtney's new room together. Here is the magnet board she desperately needed. I love the fabric, it is so her!

Here is the "after"

Here is a close up of the fabric with all the dance/ballet words on them

Then she got to make her own magnets

We will be painting her room this weekend (hopefully) and I will post pictures with it up on the wall.

Here was the "before"

Chevron Desk or Sofa Table Before & After

Chevron Striped Desk or Sofa Table
This baby was a crazy mess of a project!
The original plan was definitely not how she ended up.

Some "new" Projects for this week

Here are the "Before" pictures of this weeks projects.

Oh my, not a picture I want in my house!
However I couldn't pass up on another "freebie".
When I found my daughters dresser on craigslist I was so excited. The girl was moving out of the country and told me to take anything else I wanted for FREE! As I was walking around my inner creativity was going off. I walked away with this lovely picture, 4 awesome chairs and of course the dresser...all for $15. What a steal!
I think this frame will find a new home in my daughters room as a magnetic board!

Here is the other I will be working on this week.
A garage sale find that has been calling my name to make look pretty.
I haven't decided what I will do with her yet.
Her drawers had so many coats of paint they were literally stuck.
We had to hammer them out! She is a solid piece of wood so we will see how she turns out.

Check back this week for the "AFTER" shots.

My "freebie" Find

Okay, so this is the last one without Before & After pictures.
We purchased a dresser and some table from a guy clearing out his storage unit and he gave use this one for FREE!!!
It was missing drawers and all the hardware...No Problem in my book!
Here she is all finished

All she needed was a coat of primer, paint and some stain wiped on.
I used hardware I already had laying around (just painted them black) and found these great baskets on CLEARANCE at Michael's a while back.
***UPDATE***
Less than 24 hrs. on Craigslist and this baby sold!!!

$5 Auction Find turned Shabby Chic

I am so excited about how this one turned out!!
We purchased this at an auction for $5, no one wanted this baby because she was missing drawers.
Are you kidding me....she was amazing!
Here is the BEFORE

Here is the AFTER

Primed, painted and scuffed for a little shabby chic look
Some sanding, stain and a coat of poly
3 new baskets from Hobby Lobby
(all on a 50% off sale!)

I love how she turned out!
Just a little TLC and she is as good as new!
