    1. Hi Jennifer! It is fabric :) It's a simple technique using fabric spray glue, modge podge and polyacrylic. I have one I did for our home and it's still holding strong after 4 years!!

  3. Sure! Here is what I've found works best. First make sure the surface is prepped: free of paint or stain, you want it sanded down.
    - Cut the fabric much larger than what is needed. It is easier to size later on
    - Lay the fabric on a smooth surface and apply a thin coat of modge podge, let completely dry and apply another coat (the fabric should be stiff and grainy when done)
    - Once dry lightly hand sand with a 220grit or higher, just enough to smooth it out
    - Spray the fabric adhesive on the back of the fabric. Wait about one minute so it's tacky and set on the furniture. Smooth it out and let dry (most work but I like the Elmer's, doesn't have to be specifically for fabric)
    - Once dry cut the fabric to size, I use an xacto knife. Don't stress to much about the edges, they can be sanded
    - Apply a coat of polyacrylic (don't use polyurethane, it will yellow over time)
    - Once dry sand the edges. It's much easier to do at this point because the fabric is stiff
    - Apply one or two more coats of poly, lighly sand between each coat and you are done :)
