3rd Times A Charm

They say "Third times a charm"  and it sure was the case with this one!

Over the past year I had seen this baby at the auction twice and knew I had to have it.
Both times I missed bidding on it.
Both times I had to take a call from one of my kids.
(because you know every time they call it is "an emergency" in their minds)
So turns out both times the winning bidder paid for it and never picked it up.
Seriously, who does that???
Yay for me though.
It was meant to be mine.
I absolutely refused to miss out this time.
And so I bid, I won, I paid AND I brought it home.
Yay!!!!!
Since I had already decided how it was going to be refurbished the very first time I had seen it it took no time at all to complete.

I am going to show you all the "before" pictures first:

And here is how she turned out

Can you see why I had to have it???

Small Side Table

Super Cute Small Side Table

I had a neighbor stop by the other day and asked me to refinish this adorable little side table.
I am always afraid to do custom pieces for someone because you never know if you have the same vision. She seemed pleased with it but I am not sure, we tend to be our own worse critic.
So here it is:

I think it turned out pretty good.
She went to Hobby Lobby and found these awesome knobs to bring it to life.
The top is a red mahogany stain.
Here are some more "after" pics.

Pretty Yellow Buffet

Pretty Yellow
Buffet or Dresser

LOVE LOVE LOVE
how this one turned out!
Dressers are my favorite pieces to refurbish

It is crazy how bad off this one was.
I guess some people think putting a nail in the front of a drawer is gonna hold it together?
Or maybe putting duct tape on the back of the drawers??
Crazy what some will do!
Oh well, worked out GREAT for me...
NOBODY at the auction house saw its potential.
My favorites are what they call "Junk"
and this was that piece!

I just have to show you all the "Before" pics first

See the nails!!

And this is how she turned out:

Paris De Bureau

Paris
De Bureau
Okay so this one was a big ole pain! Not at all what I had envisioned. The original leather top was beyond repair. I went back and forth what to do and finally imagined a Paris burlap material to replace it.
Here is how she ended up.

Here are all the BEFORE pics:

And now...
All the AFTER shots:

New Years Auction Finds

Oh my....I am so excited with these new pieces of "JUNK"
With the holidays being so busy we missed the auctions for a while. It was felt so nice to be back!!
Here are a few of my finds....I still have several I have not unloaded out of the truck.
Please excuse the pictures, it has been raining all week and I had to take pictures inside my little garage workshop.

Check back to see how they turned out.
I have already started working on some of them!!
