Desk Redo

Desk Redo

The cold weather here in Tennessee has put quite a damper on being able to get out there and work on projects. Hopefully with my new heater (Thank you Dad!!) and some warmer temps I can finally get back to it. We recently purchased a beautiful solid maple highboy dresser and matching vanity that I can wait to start. So keep checking back and you will see the transformation.
In the meantime here is a fun little piece I tackled in the garage while it was snowing!!

  1. I LOVE the look of this desk! I am currently obsessed with this color! What process did you use for this distressed finish?

  2. Thanks! All I did was mix up a clear glaze and white paint, about a 50/50 mixture. Simply wipe it on (or use a paint brush) and then wipe it off with a damp cloth. Depending on how much of a white wash effect you want will depend on how long you leave it on before wiping off. I usually wait no more than a few minutes, cause you can always add more but if it dries and is too much it is a pain to take off. I hope that helps! Feel free to ask more questions
